Honoring the Retirement of J.E. Rutherford

After more than three decades of dedicated service, Joseph E. (J.E.) Rutherford has retired from Danos, closing a remarkable 32.5-year career.
A longtime lead operator, J.E. supported key accounts including Newfield Exploration, McMoRan Oil and Gas and Arena, bringing a wealth of production knowledge and hands-on experience to every role. Known for his strong technical expertise, J.E. also made a lasting impact by sharing his knowledge and mentoring others throughout his career.
A native of Cameron Parish, J.E. grew up just a stone’s throw from Rutherford Beach in Creole, Louisiana. After hurricanes reshaped the region, he and his family relocated north to Iowa, Louisiana, where he resides today.
J.E. was known for his preference to be out on the deck—where the work was happening—rather than behind a desk, a reflection of his dedication to the field and the teams he supported.
J.E.’s contributions, leadership and willingness to invest in others have left a lasting mark on Danos. He will be greatly missed.
We thank J.E. for his years of service and wish him all the best in his retirement.
