On October 15, the team at the W&T OTF H2S Treatment plant marked 18 years of incident-free operations- an incredible milestone in a safety-sensitive and highly-challenging environment. Danos currently has 20 employees working at this location, ranging from plant and board operators to mechanics, electricians, I&E technicians and office support staff.

Last week, members of Danos’ marketing and business development teams attended the State of the Coast Conference at the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans. As Louisiana’s premier gathering focused on coastal challenges and solutions, the event brought together nearly 1,300 scientists, policymakers, business leaders, educators and community advocates.

Danos and PES recently participated in LAGCOE’s Roux Fest, a fundraiser for the industry nonprofit that raised money for United Way of Acadiana. Danos cooked chicken and sausage gumbo, PES cooked seafood gumbo, and Danos Training Manger Mark Theriot served his wildly popular king cake.

Recently, the Danos/PES team placed first at the OXY Chem Taft Golf Tournament.

The aroma of simmering chili and the excited chatter of chili lovers filled the air at this year's Danos Foundation Chili Challenge. With teams from different departments and Danos offices and their own secret chili recipes, the 2023 Chili Challenge was a flavor-packed extravaganza that left everyone craving more.

The Danos Foundation received an email from Second Harvest, urgently seeking volunteers for food distribution in Lafayette, LA. Without hesitation, Danos Operations Manager Brady Hebert and Senior Account Manager Blake Habbit stepped up, demonstrating their commitment to service.

A Western Bluebird recently made a nest in our spare truck at the Oxy office in Colorado. Oxy has asked that we allow the hatchlings in the nest the appropriate time they need to fly away. By the looks of it, the birds should be out of the nest very soon.

Last week, Danos teamed up with Mesquite Energy to collaborate on a significant endeavor: sponsoring and organizing a barbecue for the first responders of Dimmit County, Texas, in honor of National Police Week.

On Saturday, May 6, Staff Project Manager Toby McDonald and Construction Manager Madrid Pitre represented Danos at a Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Crawfish Boil Off to help support local Raceland VFW Post 3665.

This year our annual Safety Focus events are being held on Monday, April 3, at the Cajundome & Convention Center in Lafayette, LA and on Tuesday, April 18, at the Houma - Terrebonne Civic Center.

Members of Team Danos assisted during the United Way's 2023 SOUPer Bowl event held on Saturday, February 4, in Houma, LA at the Cannata’s Family Market off West Park Avenue.

Last week, Danos had a new boss. His name is Gavin Stegall. Gavin is an 8th grader at Houma Christian School, and he currently plays football on their JV team. In his free time, Gavin likes to play drums, make people laugh and spend time with his family and friends. Gavin’s mother, Danos Human Resources Specialist Jessica Stegall, had the winning bid in the Danos Foundation Auction.
