Danos GIVES

The Danos Foundation is excited to announce its annual online auction opens this Saturday, November 15! The auction opens at 7:00 a.m. and closes on Sunday, November 30, at 8:00 p.m. CST. This special event helps raise funds for meaningful causes, while offering participants the chance to bid on a wide variety of unique items and experiences, just in time for the holidays!

As I reflect on 2024, I am grateful for all of you that supported those in need through the Danos Foundation. This year has been more than a mission—it has been a calling to honor God and serve others through generosity, compassion, service and commitment. The Foundation has been a vessel of God’s love, extending a helping hand to employees in need, strengthening families and communities, and providing hope where it was needed most.

In January, Danos proudly hosted the Danos GIVES Grant Fair, an event dedicated to celebrating the incredible work of Terrebonne and Lafourche nonprofits and the impact of giving. This gathering was more than just a check presentation; it was an opportunity to connect, learn and reinforce our commitment to making a difference in the communities where we live and work.

A huge THANK YOU to everyone who participated in this year’s Danos Foundation SOUPer Bowl! Whether you were stirring the pot, casting your votes or simply enjoying delicious soup, you helped make this event a fantastic success.

The Danos Foundation’s much-anticipated online auction has concluded, and this year’s event was a tremendous success. Held from November 15 to 30, the auction brought together supporters from the Danos Foundation community, all for a great cause.

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you! We cannot thank all of you enough for your support of the Danos Foundation. Without you, none of our work would be possible. In particular, we’d like to thank our employee donors who so generously give back to our communities through payroll deductions.

At first glance, a single photo might seem like a simple moment in time, just as a single act of generosity—a small donation or helping hand—might appear insignificant on its own. But when you step back and take a broader view, the picture changes. Imagine a mosaic made of thousands of small, individual photos. Up close, they seem random, but together, they create something beautiful—a work of art that wouldn’t exist without each tiny piece.

Established in 2016 Hope’s Path was founded by a dedicated group of pastors, businessmen and community members in Spring, Texas. The organization was founded to address the challenges faced by “aged out” foster youth.

How can we best solve BIG challenges for our communities? And, what about solving BIG challenges right here within our Danos community?

In a world where the needs of many often outweigh the resources available, the impact of community-driven initiatives cannot be overstated. One such inspiring example is the recent endeavor by Bless Your Heart, a South Lafourche based nonprofit organization dedicated to addressing social, educational and financial needs in the Bayou region.

With the two Houma Safety Focus events in the rearview mirror, allow me a minute to share a reflection of both days. These events tend to tug at me in a deep way, and I am reminded that these two days are well spent. We can spend time with our larger Danos team engaging one another about safety while sharing ways to provide opportunities for and to celebrate community service.

On Wednesday, February 7, the Danos Foundation’s 2024 SOUPer Bowl brought together three of our favorite passions: food, fellowship and football! This annual event serves as a culinary competition and one of the Danos Foundation’s most popular fundraisers.

The Danos Foundation Committee welcomes Amber Bourgeois as the new Danos GIVES Chair! Amber will begin her new role on March 1. We are excited to have her continue on the wonderful work of her predecessor as she continues to partner with nonprofit organizations through our grants program.

Care for others. This seems simple. Treating each other with kindness and compassion is what the Danos Foundation is all about. Through GIVES, we are able to care for others in the communities where we live and work. This year, GIVES awarded $280,000 in grants to 14 nonprofit organizations in Louisiana and Texas that are caring for others in a BIG way.

Honor God. Develop great people to solve BIG challenges for our customers and COMMUNITIES.

Going once, going twice...SOLD! Thursday, November 30, concluded the Danos Foundation's 2023 Online Auction.

At the beginning of this year, the Danos Foundation awarded $30,000 to Refuge Services to provide program funds for equine therapy for veterans and those with disabilities. During our visit to Lubbock, Texas, we were able to tour their beautiful facilities and even meet a few of the horses who are an integral part of the therapy.

The aroma of simmering chili and the excited chatter of chili lovers filled the air at this year's Danos Foundation Chili Challenge. With teams from different departments and Danos offices and their own secret chili recipes, the 2023 Chili Challenge was a flavor-packed extravaganza that left everyone craving more.

During the Christmas season, we're reminded of its profound significance—a celebration that goes beyond decorations and gifts. At the Danos Foundation, we believe Christmas is about generosity and giving, echoing the teachings of Jesus Christ, whose birth symbolizes hope, love and salvation. His teachings emphasize the importance of compassion, charity and putting others before ourselves. We are committed to honoring His teachings.
