Pic of the Week: Western Bluebird Nest

A Western Bluebird recently made a nest in our spare truck at the Oxy office in Colorado. Oxy has asked that we allow the hatchlings in the nest the appropriate time they need to fly away. By the looks of it, the birds should be out of the nest very soon.

"Thank you for protecting the wildlife here in Colorado," said one Oxy environmental advisor. "The Western Bluebird is a protected species in Colorado under the Migratory Bird Treaty Act. The western bluebird typically fledges between 16-21 days after the eggs hatching."

I understand the additional cost and time Danos is taking on to be protective of wildlife. I really appreciate you and Danos effort on this matter."
