Boss for the Day - Gavin Stegall

Last week, Danos had a new boss. His name is Gavin Stegall.  

Gavin is an 8th grader at Houma Christian School, and he currently plays football on their JV team. In his free time, Gavin likes to play drums, make people laugh and spend time with his family and friends. Gavin’s mother, Danos Human Resources Specialist Jessica Stegall, had the winning bid in the Danos Foundation Auction.  

Gavin’s current plans are to work in the oil and gas industry. Jessica knew taking advantage of this opportunity would allow him to see what opportunities could be available to him in the future and what life in our industry can be like. 

Once arriving at Danos Headquarters, Gavin was given a tour of the facility and allowed to attend our weekly Business Development Meeting. He had one on one meetings with some of the industry's best leaders and mentors and even had lunch with Danos owners Hank and Paul Danos. Once the day ended, he sat down with Paul and had an end of the day wrap up to discuss how the day went. 

Gavin said, "My Boss for a Day experience was great. I met many great people, had lunch with the owners, learned more about the industry, and saw how important safety is to Danos. I always began my meetings with the same question, ‘What do you love most about being a part of Danos?’ Everyone’s response was the same and it stuck with me. They all said, ‘The people and Danos’ purpose.’ I am grateful that you have given me this opportunity, Danos!”
