Inspiring Future Coastal Champions

Earlier this summer, our coastal restoration team joined ConocoPhillips in hosting campers from the South Louisiana Wetlands Discovery Center during a hands-on field trip in Houma, La. As part of the experience, students learned about Natrx's Cajun Coral—a nature-based solution Danos is helping deploy to protect Louisiana’s coast—and even built their own mini versions using clay.

The day was packed with activities that connected campers to real-world restoration work. They:

• Planted marsh grass with Restore or Retreat

• Tested terrace structures with Ducks Unlimited

• Explored taxidermy and duck carving
