Danos Expands Capabilities with First In-House PLC Panel Builds

Danos recently completed and delivered its first PLC control panels built in-house, marking a key step in expanding turnkey capabilities for customers.

The first panel was delivered to Enviro-Tech Systems in Covington, Louisiana, while the second was shipped to Shell Pipeline in Port Fourchon—the first of seven panels currently in production. The Enviro-Tech panel will support a water filtration system using ground nutshells to remove oil and impurities from produced water.

These panels support critical automation functions, including monitoring instrumentation, controlling equipment and enabling communication with control systems across pipeline and facility operations.

From purchase order to delivery, the first builds were completed in approximately eight weeks, with fabrication and programming finished in just nine days.

By bringing panel fabrication in-house, Danos can deliver more integrated solutions—from design and fabrication to installation and commissioning—while improving quality control and reducing lead times. As of mid-March, the team has secured orders for 65 panels or backplate builds, with additional work under bid.
