This year, the Danos commercial team is implementing a comprehensive development plan to strengthen key behavioral competencies that impact how we serve both internal and external customers. Focus areas include proposal writing, financial literacy, analysis, communication, data structure, presentation skills, problem solving and industry knowledge.
The goal is simple: elevate our service and remain a trusted partner across the business and with our customers. To put this into practice, the team participates in bi-monthly development exercises. One recent activity had members describe an object for others to draw. While lighthearted, it underscored the importance of clear communication, active listening and asking clarifying questions—skills that improve how we convey value in proposals, respond to customer needs and collaborate internally.
The team is currently participating in Development Special Sessions, featuring operations leadership who share their service offerings, demonstrate what sets Danos apart and discuss how Commercial can better support them in securing new work. This cross-functional collaboration equips the team with both technical expertise and business insight—critical to positioning us strongly in the marketplace.
Recently, the team met with Blake Habbit, operations manager for decommissioning, to explore how we solve customer challenges in that area.
By the end of 2025, the team will have advanced its skills in proposal writing, analysis, communication, presentations, problem solving and industry knowledge. The outcome: a highly effective, customer-focused team aligned with Danos’ growth strategy and equipped to deliver excellence at every level.
