Danos Team Impresses at Olympus Energy

Our team working for Olympus Energy, consisting of Lead Lease Operator Dave Davis, Production Foreman Brian Heckert and Automation Services Supervisor Keith Lyons were all immediately called out to assess the situation and inspect for damages. Upon arrival, they found tree limbs on the lease road, blocking access to the pad, and a loss of communication abilities due to a down line.

The team took immediate action and provided excellent customer service through responding. They took control of the situation and cleaned up the debris on the Apollo lease road and pad into the early hours of the following morning. Their efforts fall well within the Danos values and high-performance culture and did not go unnoticed!

In a recent Olympus Energy operations meeting, upper executive management, including President and CEO Chris Doyle and Senior Vice President and COO Tim Dugan, recognized the Danos team for these actions and outstanding performance.

*What is a Microburst?

According to the National Weather Service, "A microburst is a localized column of sinking air (downdraft) within a thunderstorm and is usually less than or equal to 2.5 miles in diameter. Microbursts can cause extensive damage at the surface and, in some instances, can be life-threatening. There are two primary types of microbursts: 1) wet microbursts and 2) dry microbursts. Wet microbursts are accompanied by significant precipitation and are common in the Southeast during the summer months."
