Danos Supports Beacon’s Deepwater Shenandoah Project

Danos is proud to be supporting Beacon Offshore Energy on the Shenandoah deepwater development, one of the Gulf of Mexico’s most ambitious offshore energy projects.

Our production team—from the Offshore Installation Manager (OIM) down—is actively engaged in operating and maintaining the floating production system (FPS), helping ensure safe and efficient execution during this critical phase.

The FPS departed South Korea on December 13, 2024, and arrived at the Kiewit Offshore Services yard in Ingleside, Texas, on February 8, 2025. Following final preparations and inspections, the platform left for its permanent location in Walker Ridge 52 on March 16. First oil is anticipated in late June.

With a nameplate capacity of 120,000 barrels of oil per day and located approximately 230 miles from New Orleans in water depths of over 5,000 feet, the Shenandoah project represents a major investment in the future of U.S. offshore production.
