ISO Audit is Small Ball Victory

We introduced flawless project execution into our strategy this year as we seek to understand and meet our customers' 'execution expectations. We incorporated our small ball project under this initiative. Over the last several months, we have noted some of our small ball wins. But today I want to focus on something we work at every day which is very similar to small ball, and it lets us know that we are consistently meeting our customers’ requirements.   

When you think about small ball, it is paying attention to details and being passionate about winning small victories because we never quite know what will come from meeting even the smallest customer request. Our quality management system is similar in that we must work every day to meet the standards that we say we will achieve. In a recent audit of our ISO 9001:2015 certified Quality Management System, we were told that we clearly had a very successful system, and the auditor had no major or minor findings. Accordingly, we are being recommended to retain our ISO 9001:2015 certification. 

It takes everyone working together to ensure that we meet our certification obligations. As such I want to recognize Quality Assurance and Asset Manager John Bigler, Fabrication Operations Manager Eric Hood, Fabrication Yard Superintendent Jerry Hendrix and Logistics Operations Manager James Renfro for their leadership to support our quality management system. I want to also recognize Fabrication Project Coordinator Mike Dufrene, Project Engineer Gavin LeBlanc and Fabrication Project Coordinator Santiago “Paco” DeLeon for the work they do in the quality system every day, Fabrication Quality Leadermen Brandon Brunet and Matt Benoit for their quality leadership in Larose, Electrician Bobby Ellender for his work calibrating equipment throughout the year, and Project Manager Toby McDonald for conducting internal audits throughout the year. Additionally, I would like to recognize our administrative teams in commercial, human resources, risk management, logistics and procurement that play vital roles in our ability to maintain this certification. Without the efforts of our team, this success would not be achievable.
