James Meyer Named 2025 Drive for Safety Grand Prize Winner

Danos is proud to recognize James Meyer as the 2025 Drive for Safety Grand Prize winner, earning $5,000 for his outstanding commitment to safe driving. A production operator in the Eagle Ford region supporting Verdun out of Fasching, Texas, James drove approximately 25,000 miles in 2025 without a single incident, violation or infraction — an achievement that reflects exceptional focus, discipline and accountability.

Last week, Reed Pere’, Danos Operations Services president, and Melanie Hill, vice president of Danos land production services, presented James with the award in recognition of his accomplishment.

When asked about his approach to safe driving, James humbly credited his mindset and awareness. “Pray,” he said, noting the many close encounters he has had with deer and hogs while driving. His attentiveness and caution helped him avoid incidents and protect both himself and others on the road.

James was one of 22 employees recognized as Drive for Safety Champions in 2025. These individuals met rigorous criteria, including zero motor vehicle record points, zero telematics violations, zero accidents and zero fleet training interventions throughout the year. Their dedication reflects the discipline and accountability required to operate safely every day.

The Drive for Safety Campaign promotes safe driving habits and recognizes employees who demonstrate excellence behind the wheel. James and his fellow champions embody Danos’ commitment to protecting our people and ensuring everyone returns home safely.
