Join Us for a Family Volunteer Opportunity at HQ

We are excited to announce a fantastic volunteer opportunity with the Bags of Hope nonprofit organization: Please join us and bring your family with you! All ages are welcome!

When?

Tuesday, July 30 4:30-6:30 PM Where? Danos Headquarters

We will fill 360 bags with essential food items for children in need at four different schools. Once all the bags are filled, hot dogs and chili will be offered along with time for fellowship and fun. This activity is in support of Danos ROOTS – a new company initiative to  build strong families by providing activities and programs to employees.    In January 2024, Bags of Hope received a GIVES grant for $25,000. This grant has enabled Bags of Hope to expand their reach and continue their mission of providing for the children in our community. It also supports Danos Foundation’s ongoing commitment to build long-term partnerships with well-managed organizations and uphold our responsibility to care for and serve others. 

About Bags of Hope: Bags of Hope was founded six years ago in response to the alarming statistic that 700 children in Terrebonne Parish were deemed homeless. The organization was created with a vision to do more than just provide food to food-insecure children. They aimed to share God's word through scriptures placed on or inside the bags, embodying the mission to be the hands and feet of Jesus on earth. Each year, over 200 children in need are fed weekly through this compassionate initiative.
